Stop 1: Sierra de la Laguna
Explore the natural beauty of Sierra de la Laguna in Baja California Sur. This region offers stunning landscapes, including amazing oasis and waterfalls, providing a captivating backdrop for outdoor adventures. Immerse yourself in the diverse flora and fauna, experience the tranquility of the mountains, and relax next to the most beautiful oasis.
There are numerous ways to explore this area, and I’ve marked a few on the map. Firstly, the Sol de Mayo waterfall offers a delightful day of beauty, swimming, and hiking. Secondly, Rancho San Dionisio comes highly recommended for an overnight stay. The ‘rancho’ boasts scenic beauty, serves delicious local cuisine, and offers picturesque hikes in the surrounding area.

Stop 2: La Ventana and it's surroundings
Explore La Ventana in Baja California Sur, a coastal town renowned for its consistent winds and vibrant water sports scene. Beyond kiteboarding and windsurfing, immerse yourself in the relaxed atmosphere of the town, where pristine beaches and charming eateries await. Discover the natural wonders of the surroundings, including Cerralvo Island for snorkeling and the striking desert mountains for hiking and biking. La Ventana is the perfect destination for a diverse range of experiences, combining adrenaline-pumping adventures with tranquil moments by the Sea of Cortez.
La Ventana can get quite crowded, specially during winter (wind season), so if you do not like crowds, we suggest you camp in Ensenada de Muertos marked in the map, or Punta Arena la Ventana.

Stop 3: La Paz and it's surroundings
La Paz is a coastal paradise waiting to be explored. With its laid-back vibe and stunning beaches, it’s a haven for those seeking a more relaxed getaway. Dive into the crystal-clear waters, unwind on sandy shores, explore the islands and soak up the sun. Beyond the beaches, La Paz boasts a vibrant local culture, delicious seafood, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you are into water sports, exploring or simply relaxing, La Paz offers the perfect blend for everyone. Don’t be afraid of exploring, there are many unexplored beaches waiting for you.

Stop 4: Loreto and it's surroundings
Loreto is a charming town in Baja California Sur that offers the most beautiful beaches, vibrant marine life, and a welcoming community. Explore the nearby islands, unexplored beached where crystal-clear waters teem with diverse marine species, making it an ideal destination for snorkeling and kayaking. The historic town itself boasts colonial architecture, inviting plazas, and a laid-back atmosphere, making Loreto a perfect spot along the way.
Loreto is a great spot to walk around the town, eat in local restaurants & go to ocean safaris.
However, for a tranquil camping experience away from the crowds, we recommend Playa Ligui and Ensenada Blanca. These spots offer a bit more seclusion and a serene escape.

Stop 5: Bahia Concepcion
Bahía Concepción, located in Baja California Sur, is a stunning stretch of coastline renowned for its breathtaking beauty. This bay encompasses a series of pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters and golden sands. The tranquil setting and picturesque landscapes make Bahía Concepción an ideal destination for beach lovers, water enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful retreat.
There are many camping spots in this area, and depending on the season some can get quite crowded. Few spots we really love are Playa el Coyote, El Requeson & Playa Santispac . But road trips are about exploring, so don’t be afraid to venture out and choose the perfect spot for you as there are plenty more.

Stop 6: Scorpion Bay
Scorpion Bay also known by it’s offical name San Juanico, situated on the west coast of Baja California Sur, is famous for its exceptional surf breaks, especially the renowned point break known as “The Ranch.” This remote destination offers pristine beaches, consistent waves, and a laid-back atmosphere, making it a must-visit for surfers and nature lovers alike.
Note for surfers: The best conditions reported for surf at Scorpion Bay (San Juanico) occur when a South-southwestswell combines with an offshore wind direction from the West-northwest.
I surf conditions aren’t great this is still a great destination for chilling , kayaking and relaxing.

Stop 7: Todos Santos and it's surroundings
Discover Todos Santos, a charming town on Baja California Sur’s Pacific Coast, celebrated for its art, culture, and beautiful beaches. Wander cobblestone streets lined with galleries, enjoy local cuisine with ocean views, and explore it’s shores like Playa Los Cerritos, La Pastora, San Pedrito, etc. As the sun sets venture to the Punta Lobos hike, there you will be able to see a sunset you do not want to miss.
This part of the Pacific is well known for it’s good surfing all year round. There are waves for all levels.
