Ensenada
About Ensenada
Ensenada is a place where history blends with diverse microclimates, natural landscapes, and cultural richness. Here, you’ll find everything from luxurious hotels to camping areas, allowing you to fully enjoy this paradise. Additionally, it’s one of Mexico’s leading fishing ports, renowned for its tuna fleet. With its Mediterranean climate and average temperatures of 18ºC, it’s the perfect destination to relax, especially in winter when the rains refresh the atmosphere.
Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of California, Ensenada offers expansive geography, rich plant life, and a wide variety of land and marine wildlife, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Known as the capital of Mexican wine, Ensenada produces over 70% of the country’s wine across its seven valleys. It’s also the most visited tourist port on the Pacific, welcoming over 300 cruise ships and more than 1 million cruise passengers annually. Ensenada is celebrated as the world capital of off-road racing, home to the famous SCORE Baja 1000, and was designated a UNESCO Creative City for its gastronomy in 2015. Additionally, it holds the title of the sixth World Surfing Reserve and was recently included in the MICHELIN Guide Mexico 2024.
