Stop 1: East Cape South Beaches

The East Cape of Baja California Sur is known for its great waves during summer, unspoiled natural beauty, serene atmosphere and diverse wildlife. Visitors can explore miles of pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, hidden coves and rugged cliffs.

The area is also home to small towns and fishing villages, where visitors can experience the traditional way of life and sample traditional food. It is also perfect for surfing in the summer, snorkeling, kayaking, or simply relaxing away from
the mundane.

Over the course of your time here, you can explore the beaches and chose the best one to spend the night. During the day you can surf ( in summer), go snorkeling, paddle boarding and relaxing.

There are numerous ways to explore this area, and I’ve marked a few on the map. Firstly, the Sol de Mayo waterfall offers a delightful day of beauty, swimming, and hiking. Secondly, Rancho San Dionisio comes highly recommended for an overnight stay. The ‘rancho’ boasts scenic beauty, serves delicious local cuisine, and offers picturesque hikes in the surrounding area.

Stop 3: El Triunfo

El Triunfo is a small town located in Baja California Sur, known for its historical significance and charming atmosphere. Originally a mining town in the 19th century, El Triunfo boasts well-preserved remnants of its past, including the iconic smokestack that stands as a symbol of its mining history. Today, the town attracts visitors with its quaint streets, artisan shops, and cactus sanctuary. It offers a unique blend of history, art, and natural beauty, making it a compelling destination for those seeking a glimpse into Baja California Sur’s heritage.

El Triunfo BCS - Sampa

While in El Triunfo, don’t miss a delicious breakfast at ‘Panadería el Triunfo’ and try the excellent barbacoa at ‘El Meson de Carlota.’ Explore the town’s charm with visits to various small museums, such as the Tea Museum, Cowboy Museum, and Music Museum. Another noteworthy recommendation is the Cactus Sanctuary, a place we love

Stop 4: Todos Santos and it's surroundings

Discover Todos Santos, a charming town on Baja California Sur’s Pacific Coast, celebrated for its art, culture, food and beautiful beaches. Wander cobblestone streets lined with galleries, enjoy local cuisine with ocean views, and explore it’s shores like Playa Los Cerritos, La Pastora, San Pedrito, etc.  As the sun sets venture to the Punta Lobos hike, there you will be able to see a sunset you do not want to miss.
